Photography
Artist Statement:
When I am able to be creative and put a part of my imagination into something it makes me confident. It makes me feel like there is no way to be wrong and like whatever I make is unique. I have figured out who I am as a person through art and then I figured out who I am as an artist.
Reduced Light Photography:
Project Reflection:
This project helped me understand shutter speed and the ios a lot better and how to shoot in manual. It also gave me time to play with lighting like the shapes, the amount of light, and how to shoot it. I really liked learning how to try to draw with the light , I made a heart, the infinity sign, and some how manage to make my initials DS.
Developing the Basics:
Project Description:
In this project we were given a few basic "rules" of photography they were rule of thirds, diagonal, symmetrical, asymmetrical, and golden section. We had to take 5 pictures demonstrating these rules so 25 pictures all together. Than we had to create a slide show of all of the pictures together.
Project Reflection:
During this project I learned more about my camera like how to control the shutter speed and figure out what it changes. Learning about these basic rules is important because using these guidelines can sometimes make your picture better or even help you understand how to break their rules to get a better picture.
