Adolescence Project
Project Description:
In this project we learned about the adolescent stage and the work of adolescence. We talked about the different types of parenting and how it could affect the adolescent short and long term. Then, we had to interview someone at least 30 years old about them as an adolescent. After, the interview we wrote and essay about it and included a perspective we wanted to focus on. Also, we had to take a picture of them that captured what was talked about in the interview.
Project reflection For this project I feel like I have a lot to be proud of like my essay, the picture, and the whole interview in general. The interview was really smooth and I think my questions were really good. The picture captured who my dad was but a kinda childish version of him. Lastly, my essay was a good summary of my interview meanwhile I was able to get my perspective across. I really like this project and I feel really proud of it.
I didn’t struggle much with this project other than when I needed more words for my essay. I had to go to my dad again and ask him more questions so I could write more. I think next time for this project I need a longer interview because mine was only 10 minutes and if I would have had more information and details I could have written a lot more. During this project I have learned many lessons but I think the most important lesson was that everyone's stage of adolescence is different. For many people in this stage it's a time of struggle but for some people it's worse than others. I think this was a big part of my interview because my dad had gone through so much but other people still think their stage of adolescents was worse than his. I think kids these days need to see that they have it alot easier than other people and help others that are struggling. I would score myself an eight because I’m usually prepared but I forget things here and there. Also because, it takes me a second but I get right to work and use the rest of class in an efficient way with little brakes. And I participate in class activities when we have one. But the most important reason of them all I listen when I need to listen. |
